I'm Shreya Sinha, a Product Designer based in India with nearly 5 years of experience designing digital products across e-commerce, enterprise software, education, entertainment, and fintech.
My background is unconventional — I studied Jewelry Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, which gave me an obsession with craft, proportion, and detail that I carry into every screen I design. I spent a year in jewelry and graphic design before finding my home in product design, and I haven't looked back.
I currently work at a digital transformation agency where I've designed products for clients including Fortive, Dexcom, MuleSoft, and Booking Holdings. I work end-to-end — from research and wireframes through to polished UI and full component systems.
When I'm not designing for clients, I take on freelance work under my studio name, The Subtle Things — because the details are where the real work lives.

How I Work
I know what the ideal design process looks like. I also know how design actually works when you're collaborating with real clients and real developers under real constraints. Here's both.
Every project starts with a conversation — understanding what the client needs, what they've seen that they like, and what problem they're actually trying to solve. References come from both sides. Context before canvas.
I move to wireframes or a first design draft quickly — not because it's finished, but because people react to something real far better than they respond to abstract questions. First impressions from clients are gold.
One thing I always establish early: copy affects layout. I push clients to either provide their content or agree on word limits before we go too far. This one conversation saves everyone from redesigning around text that doesn't fit.
Design is iterative by nature. I present, they respond, I adjust. This loop continues until the designs are genuinely finalized — not just signed off to meet a deadline.
I prefer when development leads are in the design meetings from the start — it means fewer surprises at handoff. When that's not possible, I make myself available throughout development. If something's unclear, I'd rather spend 10 minutes on a call than have it built wrong.
